During its last meeting, Asharqia Chamber's Commerce Committee discussed the challenges facing inspection and documention for export goods received by the King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam.

The meeting was chaired by Yusuf ibn Ahmed Al-Dosari, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Commerce Committee, and attended by Fahd Abdul- 'Aal Al-Sudairy, a member of the Customs Agency. Al-Sudairy explained the necessary documentation and inspections for exported goods at King Abdul Aziz Port and the problems faced by exporters from port management and Cusoms during the inspection process.

Al-Sudairy explained that most important obstacles causing delays in release authorization are due to companies not providing required information, as well as the small number of inspection devices.

Those present at the meeting were also briefed on a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers stating that immodest clothing should not be imported into the Kingdom.

Also during the meeting, the Director of Asharqia Chamber's E-Business Department gave a detailed description of the Committee Gateway Project and how members can enter the site using their username and password.
